RudHair beat off thousands of entries to win a top spot in the 2019 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge.

Designed by the global winners of the Color Zoom Challenge together with two of Goldwell’s international artists, the award inspires stylists to push the limits of their creativity. 

The brief called for BOLD colours echoing in the primary colours of energy yellow, illusion blue and atomic red, a Pop art effect, graphic cuts with sharp contours, and minimalistic styling. 

Megan, a professional model, arrived at the salon with pink hair, which the RudHair team set about transforming. The look was completed with a little help from Paloma Faith’s makeup artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis and stylist-to-the-stars Magdalena Jacobs – then captured by hair and fashion photographer Jack Eames in a photoshoot at Goldwell Academy in London. 

The effort won RudHair a top 10 slot. “It was an amazing experience working with the best of the best in fashion-led hair and beauty,” said RudHair Director Stephen Ruddock. “We are made up with our award and can’t wait for next year.”
